RICHARD A. BICE AWARD FOR ARCHAEOLOGICAL ACHIEVEMENT
The Richard A. Bice Archaeological Achievement Award recognizes individuals who have made significant and sustained contributions to their local archaeological society/organization or individuals who have made significant contributions to advance the ASNM goals of documenting, preserving, and protecting the archaeological heritage of New Mexico.
Each year the Archaeological Society of New Mexico (ASNM) Board of Trustees invites its affiliated societies/organizations to identify members worthy of this recognition by submitting a Richard A. Bice Archaeological Achievement Award nomination. Nominees do not have to be professional archaeologists. ASNM asks affiliates to submit only one nomination per year although a second nomination may be submitted in exceptional situations. Please submit the nomination(s) by January 15, 2023. Early submittals are greatly appreciated.
The ASNM Board of Trustees reviews the nominations and selects Bice Archaeological Achievement Award recipients. Bice Award recipients will be notified of their selection and invited to attend the Saturday evening banquet at the 2023 ASNM annual meeting as guests of ASNM where they will receive a commemorative plaque recognizing their achievement.
